Squamish Savings
Squamish Savings is a division of Vancouver City Savings Credit Union, more commonly known as Vancity. We are a proactive, member owned financial institution serving the Sea to Sky Corridor with two full service branch locations, two insurance agencies, a motor vehicle office and financial planning. Our teams of financial and insurance professionals are directed by a locally elected Partner Board. All of our people are committed to serving the needs of our member owners and building on our strong history within the local area.
Squamish Savings and Vancity are represented provincially through membership in the Credit Union Central of British Columbia and are regulated by the Financial Institution Commission. Member deposits are insured by the Credit Union Deposit Corporation up to a maximum of $100,000 "per separate deposit" as defined by regulation.
Locally, Squamish Savings supports many community groups financially and often with volunteer time as well. Our employees and directors volunteer with such groups as Girl Guides, minor sports teams, Rotary, Lions and many others. We're also very proud of our Legacy Fund which was established to return benefits to the community based on the sixty plus years of Squamish Credit Union's existance and the loyal members who supported it.
Now as part of the larger Vancity Group of Companies, our members have access to a network of Vancity branch locations throughout the Lower Mainland and Victoria. As well our payment card is also accepted surcharge free at Exchange ATMs, one of the largest banking machine networks in Canada. Needless to say we also have Internet and Telephone banking services that give you 24 hour, 7 day access to your accounts.
