The Vancity Story
In 2004, staff from across the Vancity Group participated in researching and
writing the story of Vancity. The project's goal was to get back to our
roots as a community based credit union, and talk with our staff and members
about what makes Vancity the unique organization it is.
What stories did our staff and members tell? What things keep us grounded as
a credit union and a co-operative? What are we reaching for – what kind
of organization do we want to be in the future? Most importantly, how will knowing
our story help us serve you even better? You can read about the answers to these
questions and more in a beautifully illustrated storybook written by our staff
and featuring countless stories inspired by their everyday interactions with
members.
